Event (and recipe round-up): OMG Red Velvet!

If you attended the Signpost Launch Party in December, then you probably already know that Signpost is a website where you can post and share deals in your city. Know of a $1 oyster night at your favorite local spot? 2-for-1 dinner deal? Post it and spread the word!

Anyway, it appears that Signpost is using its deal power for good, planning a sweet benefit. On February 8th, from 8pm to 9:30pm, the Fort Point location of Flour Bakery will be overrun by Boston chefs serving up spectacular red velvet treats (and hungry red velvet lovers eating the treats!). The event benefits Lovin’ Spoonfuls, a non-profit organization that facilitates the recovery and distribution of perishable and un-served foods that would otherwise be thrown away and wasted.
