Restaurant Reviews of the Week

Got any plans to dine out this weekend? Here are some fun reviews from this past week to give you ideas!

(Use this form to nominate posts (your own or other bloggers') for any of these weekly features, and use this other form to give me permission, in advance, to use your photos in future features.)

This week's winners:

Q Restaurant Preview Party
Forays of a Finance Foodie
The Finance Foodie gives us a glimpse of Q Restaurant (formerly Little Q Hot Pot) with a recap of the preview party, where the mai tai was "waaay aggressively strong" and the sushi was "pretty good but very standard." The hot pots, though, are "THE (affordable) way to go for warming up those chilly winter nights."

Boston Bloggers Who Brunch: East Coast Grill
Fun and Fearless in Beantown
East Coast Grill is pretty much my favorite restaurant ever, so I was excited (ok, a bit jealous) to see all the mouth-watering recaps of a recent blogger brunch held there. Fun and Fearless has a wonderful recap with photos that are totally making me drool all over my keyboard.

New Find: Rami's, Coolidge Corner, Brookline
Katie ~ The Small Boston Kitchen
"It's rare when you stumble upon a Boston restaurant with a huge cult following that you've never heard of and it's somewhat of an exhilarating experience when it happens," writes Katie.  "I hope I'm not throwing my "street cred" out the window when I embarrassingly admit that I've walked by Rami's in Coolidge Corner hundreds, heck, thousands of times and had yet to venture in.  Shame on me and lesson learned.  If a place has been around for 20+ years, they're probably worth checking out."

Chez Henri, s’il vous plaĆ®t
Emily O'Donnell ~ A Cambridge Story
One look at that chorizo and mojito and I was sold. "Chez Henri is a Cambridge favorite for Cuban food and many of the dishes incorporate a French twist," writes Emily. "The dining room prices are a bit steep but the bar is the perfect place for a cozy date night or evening out with friends!"

Jacky's Table
Katie ~ Happy Hour Honeys
"Oh, Jacky's Table. I so wanted to like you," writes Katie. "I know it's not your fault that you're not living up to the funky French bistro I wanted you to be." Ah, the disappointment of excitedly watching a restaurant get ready to open...and then it's nowhere near as awesome as you'd hoped. Sigh.

Have a great weekend! And don't forget: you can use this form to nominate posts (your own or other bloggers') for any of these weekly features, and use this other form to give me permission, in advance, to use your photos in future features.
